How big is craft beer?

“Craft continues to evolve. Everyone wants to ask, where’s the ceiling? When’s this going to end? Sky is the limit! We have a very clear goal at the BA to see 20% market share for small and independent craft brewers by 2020. We just reached 11% by 2014, production stats, it’s completely reasonable to want to see that balancing in the marketplace for the small breweries to have 20% share.”    – Julia Herz, Craft Beer Program Director (BA)

Working with competitors isn’t easy. What makes craft beer think it can succeed?

“There’s always a good reason to collaborate, so that is why we plan to have a tap for it all the time!”  – Ashleigh Carter, Bierstadt Lagerhaus

“Collaboration is just really part of our DNA…at Odell.” – Karla Baise, Odell Brewing

What’s the fuss all about?

“Drink everything you think you’re going to hate, because you never know when you’re going to find the beer that you love!” – Dev Adams, Miss Lupulin

“You know we all produce IPA’s, but every IPA is going to be different. So people can like all of our IPA’s. Everyone makes the same style, but it’s going to be different. Everyone can go around and try all of them and see which one they like better. Someone might like my IPA but someone else does a better farmhouse. And that’s fine. There’s more than enough people to support all of our breweries.” – Jules Hoechstra, Strange Craft Beer Co.
